Pride Week at the U

The 2021 Pride Week at the U will be March 29-April 3.

The 2021 Pride Week at the U will be held March 29-April 3.

Pride Week at the U is an annual event honoring LGBTQIA+ histories, cultures and lives. Join us for this week-long series of events to learn, celebrate and be inspired. Pride Week is planned by a volunteer committee of students, faculty and staff collaborating across the university.

This year’s theme, “Queer at the Intersections,” invites us to think about LGBTQIA+ lives and topics through different intersections of identity, including race, class and gender. There will also be opportunities to examine how LGBTQIA+ people show up in different spaces, such as being out at work, in gaming or in the art world.

While we are still planning for Pride Week, you can see what we’ve planned so far at lgbt.utah.edu.

Uniquely U Art Competition

Pride Week at the U will include an art experience for expressing intersecting identities through art in any medium. The event will have elements prior to Pride Week. For more details and to apply, visit lgbt.utah.edu or diversity.utah.edu.

Clothing donations

Pride Week at the U’s Gender Inclusive Clothing Pop-up Shop is accepting lightly used clothing and accessories (priority on professional attire and bathing suits) through March 1. A list of donation locations can be found on lgbt.utah.edu or diversity.utah.edu.
