Final JED Campus Task Force meeting

The University of Utah’s Student Health & Wellness invites all students, faculty, and staff to the final JED Campus task force meeting on August 27 at 1:30 PM at the Alumni House.

The JED campus program, in partnership with The Jed Foundation, is a national initiative dedicated to enhancing mental health and wellness at colleges and universities, preventing suicide, and fostering a supportive environment for students.

On August 1st, the University of Utah proudly received its designation as a JED Campus, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to mental health and wellness.

“This designation has been a pivotal moment in advancing our mental health efforts,” said Dr. Sherrá Watkins, Associate Vice President for Health and Wellness. “This final meeting is crucial for solidifying the progress outlined in the final report submitted to achieve this important milestone. By sharing insights and experiences, we can ensure these positive changes continue to evolve, creating a healthier, more resilient community for all.”

During the meeting, the JED task force will present a final progress report, share recommendations, and outline next steps, including the formation of smaller sub-task forces to address specific issues.

This hybrid event allows for both in-person and virtual attendance. Those attending online can register via the following link: JED Campus Task Force Meeting Registration. Attendees are asked to register using their university email (UNID@utah.edu).
