U Giving Day 2023 is an 1,850-minute fundraising and celebration effort from March 21 – 23, 2023 – raising funds for the University of Utah and University of Utah Health academic, support, and community programs.
This is the fifth year of U Giving Day at the university, last year the event had over 100 campus projects, raising over $1.5 million dollars and 5,400 donors.

FAQs about project submission
Who can participate in U Giving Day?
Advancement staff, colleges and schools, student groups, campus ancillary partners, etc.. Projects must have a 6000 fund for fundraising at the U and an allocation within the University Advancement CRM.
What does participation in U Giving Day look like?
Be ready to commit a few hours of time to training and learning best practices leading up to the event in January and February. Plan to be actively marketing your project for the month of March, whether that be emails, social media, newsletters, using project ambassadors, tabling, word of mouth, etc..
Can my campus area host a joint project with another area?
Yes! We love One U projects that benefit multiple areas.
