Final spring semester update from PCEB co-chairs Mary Ann Villarreal and Lori McDonald

Our team will provide updates on our continued work throughout the summer so that we can all hold each other accountable and celebrate the wins along the way.

Since the PCEB’s creation in February 2022, we have sought to create impactful change to address the systemic issues embedded within our own structures at the U. Through that work, we held the inaugural Day of Collective Action, enacted changes to the student code of conduct, provided training on our Racist & Bias Incident Response Team process and more.

This progress continues to energize us and our efforts to make the U a place where everyone can thrive. The PCEB plans to continue our work over the summer to ensure that we finish what we set out to do, including completing the ongoing faculty listening sessions, completing an initial Annual Report on the equity, diversity, and inclusion work across our campus, and delivering a Community Compact, among other initiatives.

Our team will provide updates on our continued work throughout the summer so that we can all hold each other accountable and celebrate the wins along the way.
