Women’s Resource Center is getting a new look

Staff and services will temporarily move to the Annex building during the renovation on July 29, 2019.

Work to enhance the Women’s Resource Center’s office space and create a student lounge area is scheduled to begin this summer. During the renovation, the WRC will temporarily relocate from room 411 in the Olpin Student Union Building to Wing A in the Annex building near the Jon M. Huntsman Center and Marriott Honors Community. The team expects to move out of the Union by the beginning of August and will return to their permanent space by the end of the year.

“The changes we’re making will help improve the experience of the many students, staff and faculty who use the WRC’s resources and programming each year,” said Catalina Cardona, administrative assistant of the WRC. “In addition, the renovated space will provide better privacy and ADA-compliant spaces for those receiving counseling,”

Cardona said the temporary Annex space will allow the team to stay together in one location during the renovation and ensures the center can continue providing counseling services, regular programming and general student support.

The WRC’s temporary location can be accessed by riding the TRAX red line to the south campus station and walking a block east past the Huntsman Center. Their office will be on the second floor of Wing A.
