Volunteers needed for Employee Appreciation Day

EAD is scheduled for Oct. 14.

University of Utah Employee Appreciation Day (EAD) is taking place this year in-person on Thursday, October 14 from 10 am – 2 pm at the newly remodeled Rice-Eccles Stadium! All faculty and staff, including student employees, are invited. This year’s event will feature plenty of activities, such as the ever-popular football field goal kick, photo booth, exhibitors, and a flu shot clinic*.

Free pizza and drinks will also be available. All those who plan on attending should register via EventBrite registration is the only way to claim your free pizza this year! Be prepared to print out your pizza ticket or plan on showing your electronic ticket at the entrance gate in order to receive your free pizza.

Employees will also need to present their Ucards to get in. Student employees without a Ucard will need to email EAD@utah.edu indicating they are a student employee and include their UNID. An email confirmation will be sent back to them in return; student employees will then bring a copy of this confirmation email and their student UCard to the main gates for entry.

We are also in need of volunteers for this year’s event! Volunteering at EAD is a great way to meet people throughout the University and to say thanks to fellow staff members. Volunteers are asked to work one to two hours shifts and will receive a volunteer t-shirt. If your schedule allows you to help out at EAD, please click here for our Volunteer Sign-up Form. This sign-up form will close on Friday, September 17.

Please visit our EAD website https://www.hr.utah.edu/employeeday/ for more details. We look forward to celebrating with you!

*If you can’t make this year’s EAD flu shot clinic, there are several other ways to get your flu shot this year. Vaccines will be available at your local pharmacy or through your health provider’s office. Departments may also coordinate their own flu shot clinics by contacting Wendy Poppleton at wendy.poppleton@utah.edu.
