The Campus Information Services (CIS) portal (authentication required) was recently redesigned to improve usability and address limitations of the previous version, including issues that have caused outages in past semesters. The new interface was announced last semester through a series of email, Twitter, newsletter and Pulse announcements. A quick tips CIS guide is available in the UIT Knowledge Base to help users navigate the system’s new features.
With the new interface, users may favorite the tiles they use most, conduct keyword searches and filter categories. To better serve users with multiple campus roles, tiles are now displayed on a single page in different category sections that generally correspond to the previous portal’s homepages. Tile icons also are cleaner and smaller, and the interface displays better on mobile devices.
