The theme for the 2024 Pride Festival is CommUNITY – Building Unity within the Community, which will involve something that’s never been done before—bringing all Pride organizations in the state to the festival grounds under one rainbow.
The Utah Pride Parade, hosted in downtown Salt Lake City, is the second-largest parade in our state, second only to the city’s Days of ’47 Parade. The 2024 Pride Parade will be held on Sunday, June 2, starting at 10 a.m. The parade honors Pride Month, a time to celebrate and support LGBTQIA+ communities both nationally and locally.
The University of Utah will have a booth at the festival and a walking delegation in the parade. The U is calling on all students, staff and faculty to join our delegation! Those who sign up to march with the U will receive a T-shirt and will be expected to line up in advance of 10 a.m. on June 2. Details about the exact location and time of the lineup will be provided to those who sign up. Space and T-shirts are limited and are first come, first served, so sign up now!
