Free Community Emergency Response Team trainings

The CERT program educates people about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations.

Emergency responders do their best to respond as quickly as possible, but it is also the responsibility of individual citizens to learn how to protect themselves, their loved ones and their communities. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates people about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations.

The University of Utah-Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health has developed an online CERT course. This course is NOW available for persons wanting the CERT training.

This training is free and meets the classroom portion of the CERT training requirements. Students can sign up here using this join code: RR3BX6.
