The Utah Department of Transportation is beginning work to improve State Route 186 (Foothill Drive) in Salt Lake City. The project will remove and replace asphalt from 1300 East to 2100 South and Stringham Ave to I-215. The project will also reconstruct new pedestrian ramps in some areas. Work is expected to be completed in fall 2020.

Impacts

Pedestrian ramp work will take place during the day and will involve single-lane closures in some areas. Paving activities will take place at night and will require lane closures during work. Area residents can expect an increase in nighttime noise, light and vibration. Access limitations will occur as vehicles move through side-streets and driveways.
