Honoring the director of Fraternity and Sorority Life

Jess Turuc received the prestigious Sue Kraft Fussell Distinguished Service Award from the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors.

Jess Turuc, director of Fraternity and Sorority Life on campus, was honored with the Sue Kraft Fussell Distinguished Service Award by the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA). The Sue Kraft Fussell Distinguished Service awards are presented to no more than five members of the association each year. As a volunteer with AFA, Turuc currently serves as a program facilitator for First 90 Days.  At the University of Utah, she has been key in building a coalition with other Pac-12 fraternity and sorority professionals. She has launched several fundraising campaigns including a sophomore leadership retreat, full sponsorship of Centennial SongFest performance and creation of an endowed scholarship for council officers.
