Changes coming to 100 South

This summer, Salt Lake City will reconstruct 100 South between University Street and North Campus Drive. Construction is anticipated to begin after 2024 graduation and complete before the Fall 2025 semester begins. Access to the University and Medical campuses will be maintained during construction.

The project will replace the aging pavement and improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists by:

  • Extending the sidewalk on the south side of 100 South to create a multi-use path from University Street to Wolcott Street to connect to the multi-use path that is currently east of Wolcott St.
  • Adding a new pedestrian activated HAWK signal at Butler Ave to improve safety at this existing crosswalk.
  • Improving pedestrian safety and ADA access at Wolcott St by improving the corners, adding signage and adjusting signal timing.
  • Adding new sidewalk to connect Wolcott St to the existing pedestrian crossing at North Campus Drive.

The project team is finalizing the design now and wants your feedback. Take a look at this flier and review the design on the project website now. Then submit any comments or feedback you have to 100South@slc.gov by October 31.
