Artivism for Earth receives global award

The project was selected as a recipient of the 2022 inaugural Anthem Awards.

Artivism for Earth has been selected as a recipient of the 2022 inaugural Anthem Awards. The Anthem Awards honors the purpose and mission-driven work of people, companies and organizations worldwide. It hopes to amplify the voices that spark global change and define a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to take action in their own communities. University of Utah faculty, with other prominent artists, educators and scientists from Harvard, Stanford, University of California, Berkeley and other universities across the country, developed the Artivism For Earth project to inspire compassionate and creative actions to the climate crises facing the world. The project, funded by a 1U4U grant, asks questions that stir powerful emotions: How will we adapt to create a more resilient planet for humans and nature? How will we protect communities that are disadvantaged and most at risk? What kind of future do we want to leave for the next generation?

Artivism for Earth received bronze recognition in the category of Sustainability, Environment & Climate Event Awareness (not-for-profit). Awards will be given at a virtual ceremony on Feb. 28, 2022 and can be found here.
