What is it like being a student leader?
Looking into these roles, we talked to an SJA alum to gain an inside perspective.
Sam Dalton (He/Him) was an SJA in 2022. Sam loved being involved in student leader work because he was able to create positive experiences for students. As an SJA, he developed relationships with students who came to events and organized events, socials, and speakers. Sam shared that he found value in being an SJA because students felt safe and free of judgment being able to talk about anything with his team—which is an invaluable resource. He encourages others to apply to gain leadership experience and build connections!
