The University of Utah Housing & Residential Education (HRE) is seeking volunteers to be part of the UCREW, the team who welcomes more than 5,000 students to campus every fall.
Open to all U faculty, staff and upper-division students, HRE is seeking volunteers for at least two of the four move-in days—Aug. 15-18, with the help most needed on Aug. 15-17, with each volunteer working a three-and-a-half-hour shift.
- Volunteers’ tasks are the following:
- Assisting with unloading vehicles
- Helping deliver resources around campus to staff, students and volunteers
- Managing traffic and vehicles in unloading zones
- Directional assistance around buildings
- Red cart wrangling
- Participants receive a UCREW T-shirt for their support.
- Learn more about UCREW here.
Save these dates on your calendar, share them with your team and please join HRE in welcoming our new and returning resident students to campus!

We ask volunteers to sign up by July 17. UCREW volunteers are the No. 1 reason move-in goes so smoothly at the U, and we could not complete our move-in processes without your partnership and efforts.
