Whether you’re a seasoned climber or someone who just loves the energy of a big campus event, the Summit’s Annual Bouldering Competition—SENDsations—is one you won’t want to miss. This year’s competition brings together climbers of all skill levels for a full week of friendly competition, community hype and an unforgettable finals showdown.
SENDsations is designed to be exciting for everyone. With four divisions—beginner, intermediate, advanced and open—climbers can compete at a level that feels right for them, while still having the chance to advance to a finals round.
The preliminary redpoint round opens bright and early at 6 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23 and closes at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26. This gives competitors plenty of time to submit their attempts around classes and commitments.
During prelims, climbers will self-select their division and record their sends using the Pebble App. Division finals will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28. Finals Day is action-packed—crowd energy, big attempts, clutch sends and plenty of cheering from the sidelines. Even if you’ve never touched a climbing wall, finals are a blast to watch and a great way to support friends and fellow students.
All registered climbers have a chance to walk home with a prize.
Prizes will be distributed to in-person attendees following the final round on Saturday, so come and stick around until the end. SENDsations isn’t just a competition—it’s a celebration of climbing, community and campus spirit.
