FIRE SAFETY AND UTAH’S JULY 24 STATE HOLIDAY
REMINDER for July 24 holiday:  The university and surrounding Salt Lake City neighborhoods are still prohibited from using any kind of fireworks. (See the map here).  Hot and dry conditions warrant extreme care along the University’s east bench especially. Fireworks and open fires of any kind are not allowed.  If grilling out of doors use extreme caution to keep sparks contained. A working fire extinguisher must be present and grills should never be unattended.
