GOGGLES CHANGE THE LANDSCAPE OF SKI WEAR

U students Schaeffer Warnock and Jake Nelson questioned why skiers and snowboarders would spend hundreds of dollars on several pairs of ski goggles when one inexpensive pair could be altered to match the weather on the slopes.

ALUMNI HONORED AT FOUNDERS DAY BANQUET

To commemorate the founding of the U on Feb. 28, 1850, the U Alumni Association will celebrate four outstanding alumni and two honorary alumni at the annual Founders Day banquet, Tuesday, Feb. 24.

BIOLOGY’S MATH PROBLEM

There is a desperate need for more mathematicians and computer scientists to make sense of the overwhelming torrents of data that modern experiments produce, say biologists at last week’s meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
