U study dates slide to 4,800 years ago. The disaster dammed the Virgin River and created a lake that lasted 700 years until it filled with sediment, producing the canyon enjoyed by millions of visitors today.

Business Loop closure

Effective May 31, 2016, the Business Loop, Center Campus Drive, will be permanently closed, as will the east entrance to the Central Parking Garage.
