SPRING BREAKERS TURN TO SERVICE

This week 143 University of Utah students will devote more than 5,000 hours of service around the western U.S. and Canada through the U’s Alternative Breaks program organized through the Bennion Community Services Center.

Digital innovation awards for Excellence in Online Education, have been created to recognize faculty and staff creativity in the transition to online-only education during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020.

Return to Campus Webinar: Final update and our testing/tracing plan

In the sixth and final Return to Campus webinar, held on Aug. 20, 2020, President Ruth Watkins and other senior leaders gave a final update on campus operations, while Dr. Richard Orlandi and Dr. Sharon Talboys discussed details of the U’s testing and tracing plan.

MAKE A BREAK FOR IT

Alternative Breaks give students the opportunity to take an entire spring or fall break and immerse themselves in an issue, travel to a designated city and serve side-by-side with community partners dedicated to that cause.

There’s more to social networking than Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram, according to a U professor cataloging alternative sites and services built as a critical response to corporate social media.
