New Kiosks in the Campus Store/Library Lot

Main campus is now a 100 percent pre-pay kiosk campus, with only one lot on upper campus to convert. Commuter Services has replaced the ticket booths with kiosks at the Campus Store/Library lot. Drivers can park and pay at any kiosk on campus; or use the kiosks as a point of contact for purchasing and validating parking.

There will be three main changes as a result of the new kiosk system:

  • No gates, no lines, no attendants. Customers will purchase their desired time through the kiosk using their license plate and credit card.
  • Sticker validations will only be accepted in lot 64. Convenient validation coupon codes will be provided with qualifying purchases for kiosk lots.
  • Going to the Campus Store is now easier than ever. Simply pay parking fees at the kiosks in advance, print your receipt, and then present the receipt at the Campus Store for a discount. One hour of the parking fee will be reimbursed at the time of purchase.

Kiosks work similar to a parking meter; payment must be made to begin a parking session, not when leaving the pay lot.[/bs_well]

Shoreline Ridge Parking Garage is Awarded 2017 Excellence in Concrete Awards

The U is honored that the Shoreline Ridge Parking Garage received the 2017 Excellence in Concrete Award from the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Intermountain Chapter. The Shoreline Ridge Parking Garage is the third structure to win this award at the U (Northwest Parking Garage and the Central Garage received the award in 2016).

In order to obtain this prestigious award, the concrete structure must pass judging and examination by ACI Intermountain Chapter in a number of areas. Including: sustainability, resilience, architectural and engineering merit, and innovative construction techniques. The General Contractor for the Shoreline Ridge Parking Garage, Ralph L. Wadsworth, submitted a nomination to the ACI Intermountain Chapter, knowing that they had overseen a project that surpassed regional standards.
