Utah Football season is in full swing at Rice-Eccles Stadium, while the Jon M. Huntsman Center’s busy event season is kicking off with men’s and women’s basketball games and gymnastics meets. If you’re visiting campus for an event at the stadium or arena, use the following transit tips to help navigate your trip.
Parking
On gamedays, parking can be found in various lots across campus. Parking is sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and parking information is released leading up to each home football game and before basketball and gymnastics seasons. To find current parking maps, visit Rice-Eccles Stadium’s Parking & Transit page or our Special Event Services page. Parking prices vary per lot.
ADA parking
ADA parking accommodations are available in all non-tailgate lots on a first-come, first-served basis. With the ADA stalls around the stadium and arena typically filling up prior to kickoff for football games, please consider utilizing the ADA lot at the Huntsman Center. The ADA lot offers a dedicated shuttle running directly to the stadium. UTA TRAX, located on the west side of the stadium, is also ADA accessible.
UTA
UTA services are a reliable way to travel to Rice-Eccles Stadium, the Huntsman Center, and navigate campus year-round. UTA offers various rail lines, including Green, Blue, and Red. The Red Line runs through campus and features four on-campus stops, including stops directly in front of Rice-Eccles Stadium and the Huntsman Center. UTA also offers various bus lines that service the University of Utah and the surrounding areas.
All on-campus University of Utah Athletics events are part of UTA’s Ticket As Fare program. This program allows event attendees with a valid ticket the opportunity to use UTA’s services at no cost. To learn more about the Ticket As Fare program, visit UTA’s website.
Don’t forget! University of Utah students, staff, and faculty members have access to UTA services at no cost. Before you exit the bus or train, be sure to tap on and tap off using the nearby card reader.
SPIN
If you’re looking for an affordable and sustainable transportation option, SPIN scooters are perfect for you! Simply open the SPIN app on your mobile device, enter payment details, and ride directly to Rice-Eccles Stadium or the Huntsman Center. SPIN scooters and a charging station can be found near the stadium tunnel, located close to Gate F in the northwest corner.
