As summer brings sunshine and community celebrations to the Wasatch Front, the University of Utah is preparing to hit the streets in full force. Swoop, the U’s beloved mascot, is officially calling on students, alumni, and fans to join him in representing the university at various parades across the valley.

This is a unique opportunity for the Ute community to connect with local neighborhoods, wave to the crowds, and showcase the vibrant spirit that makes the University of Utah so special. Whether you are a long-time alum or a current student, the university invites you to walk the route and help bring “the U” to the heart of the community.

If you live near any of the following areas and want to represent the University of Utah this summer, mark your calendars for the 2026 parade schedule:

• South Jordan – SoJo Summerfest Saturday, June 6 | Time TBD

• Herriman – Herriman Town Days Saturday, June 27 | 10:00 AM

• Riverton – Riverton Town Days Parade Friday, July 3 | 6:30 PM

• Park City – 4th of July Parade Saturday, July 4 | 11:00 AM

• Draper – Draper Town Days Saturday, July 18 | 9:00 AM

• Salt Lake City – Days of ’47 Parade Friday, July 24 | 9:00 AM

• Bountiful – Handcart Days Parade Saturday, July 25 | 9:00 AM
