Speak up on the future of Salt Lake City streets

Salt Lake City’s streets have seen dramatic transformations over the past five years, with more on the horizon. Now is your chance to weigh in. Take the UDOT Urban Mobility Assessment Survey by Wednesday, Aug. 6.

The Urban Mobility Assessment (UMA) is a state-directed study, led by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), to evaluate how roadway projects built in Salt Lake City between 2015 and 2025 have affected quality of life and mobility for residents, businesses and travelers.

The study area includes streets from I-15 to Foothill Drive between 600 North and 2100 South. The study was launched under the Utah Senate Bill 195 (SB 195) to help inform better decision-making for future city transportation projects.

Potential changes from projects in the study area will be assessed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The study includes:

  • A data-driven report by UDOT assessing completed and planned projects for changes in mobility, traffic flow, environmental conditions and community impact.
  • A framework to evaluate future projects anticipated to be built up to 2035.
  • In addition to UMA prepared by UDOT, a mobility plan from Salt Lake City will be prepared to guide future roadway improvements.

UDOT launched the survey to hear from the public about what’s happening on the roads and how transportation affects their daily routines, including the ability to move safely, reliably and comfortably through the city.

Why your voice matters

UDOT’s survey is asking not just what’s changing on the roads—but how those changes feel to you and what they mean for your daily life. This survey is for everyone who travels through the city. UDOT would love to hear from you.

Your input will help shape future transportation decisions. Help shape the future of mobility in Salt Lake City.

Submit your input by Aug. 6.
