University of Utah President Ruth Watkins is hitting the road over the summer to meet with government, business, higher education and community leaders throughout the state. Her objective: Learn more about how the U can be a good partner and meet business and community needs. The “Ruth 66 University for Utah Road Tour” also gives President Watkins an opportunity to connect with alumni. And she is getting to see some of the state’s most beautiful spots as she begins her presidency! Here is a recap of the trip to southern Utah.

Last stop was Snow College in Ephraim. President Watkins met with Steve Hood, vice president for academic affairs, and his team for a discussion about opportunities for partnerships and common challenges. It was so great to hear their praise for the work of our transfer center advisors!
