Starting March 2026, Sunnyside Apartments is opening a brand-new building, and university employees who are .75 FTE or higher are eligible to live there. The newly constructed Cottonwood 792 building, along with the existing Cottonwood 796 and 797 buildings, is available to employees who want to live on campus.
In addition to the new building, Sunnyside is excited to announce the opening of a state-of-the-art child care center in collaboration with UKids. This facility, which will also open in March 2026, is designed to support the campus’s youngest fans and will primarily serve the children of university students and employees.
The Cottonwood buildings offer a range of floor plans to choose from, including studios, 1-bedroom/1-bathroom, 2-bedroom/1-bathroom, 2-bedroom/2-bathroom, and 3-bedroom/2-bathroom units. These modern, unfurnished apartments are conveniently located at the intersection of Foothill Drive and Sunnyside Avenue. Residents can enjoy free shuttle service to the main University of Utah campus.
