Over the last month, updates have been made to MobilePay! Now, it is even easier to use. As Commuter Services continues to remove physical parking kiosks from campus, it is important to know how to use MobilePay effectively for commuting at the University of Utah. Read on for some helpful tips on all things MobilePay.

MobilePay coupon codes

If you are planning to use a coupon code with MobilePay, it is important to follow the following steps to ensure proper usage:

• Scan QR code on sign OR text ULOT (with lot number) to 25023 (example: ULOT6)
• Tap the link on return text
• Select parking duration – tap “custom time”
• Use +/- to enter the number of hours and minutes, then tap “set duration”
• Choose saved vehicle or add vehicle information, then tap “validate”
• Enter your coupon code, then tap “accept”
• Confirm your parking session, then tap “continue”
• To finalize your transaction, tap the “park now” button. Be sure to complete this step, as your parking will not be active until you do.

Did you know you can now add your license plate to your account very quickly?

To add your license plate via camera:

• Tap the camera icon in the app
• Point your camera at your license plate
• Verify that the plate is correct and complete your transaction

To finalize your transaction, tap the “park now” button. Be sure to complete this step, as your parking will not be active until you do. For a visual example, please see the image below.

List of MobilePay parking lots

MobilePay is available in many parking lots across campus. In order to tell if the lot you are in is a MobilePay lot, look for signage on the lot entry signs and signs placed throughout these lots with QR codes to scan for payment. You can also text the lot number (ie, ULOT1, ULOT2, etc.) to 25023.

MobilePay lots include lot 1 (west stadium), lot 2 (law), lot 6 (Marriott Library), lot 12 (Business), and many more. For a full list of MobilePay lots, visit our Short-Term & Visitor Parking webpage under the “Learn More” dropdown.
