Watch Your Retirement Savings GROW

To-Do List:

The University of Utah has two supplemental retirement plans.  All university employees are eligible to defer pay to the University’s 403(b) and 457(b) Plans through payroll deduction.

Deferrals can be made before taxes are calculated, which may allow you to save more.  You can save a minimum of $12.50 per paycheck up to the IRS maximum of $18,000 in each savings plan.  If you are age 50 or older, you can contribute an additional $6,000 per year for a total of $24,000 to each plan.  The IRS limits increase to $18,500 ($24,500) in 2018.
