Don’t miss this chance to explore career opportunities, connect with employers, and apply for roles. Our career fairs and expos bring in employers from a huge range of industries who want to meet you. Not actively looking yet? Everyone is welcome—including first-year students! It’s never too early to start exploring career options and connecting with employers.

Make the most of your time at career events with a little bit of preparation.

  • Schedule an appointment with a career coach before the fair to get help fine tuning your resume and learning how to present your best self.
  • Check the event’s Handshake link to see which employers will be at the fair so you can research them ahead of time.
  • Print copies of your resume so you can hand them out to recruiters and hiring managers while you network at the fair.

Wondering what to wear? Employers know your time is limited as you visit between classes and there is no set dress code. That said, coming to the fair well-groomed in business casual clothes will help you make the best impression. If you don’t have the clothes you need for interviews and networking events, visit the U Career Success suite in the Garff building to borrow professional and stylish clothing from the Career Closet! This resource is free for students, and you can borrow the clothes for an entire week.
