International Education Week 2025 is Nov. 17–21 and offers the University of Utah nearly two dozen activities aimed at celebrating and elevating the role of global engagement in higher education.
The Office for Global Engagement (OGE) partners with over 20 offices on campus each year to present International Education Week—a yearly initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education that invites educational institutions to collectively promote international programs that prepare students for a global future.
This year’s events span the U’s main campus in Salt Lake City and the U Asia Campus in Incheon, South Korea; the line-up includes:
- A flag parade and kick-off party
- Program and scholarship info sessions
- Dance performances
- Film screenings
- Global career panels
- Special guest lectures and discussions
New and notable this year are two workshops for faculty:
Learning Abroad Faculty Fellows Program
Meet with Learning Abroad’s director and associate director to learn more about the Faculty Fellows Program, which supports faculty who are interested in leading new Learning Abroad programs in 2027 and beyond. Learn how to bring your program concept to life, the proposal process and more.

Capping off the week is the annual favorite International Night—an evening to celebrate the diverse student population at the U, as participants share their cultural heritage through song, dance and other media.
