Stop by the Marriott Library Plaza, Wednesday, Sept. 2 between 11 a.m.–2 p.m. for Arts Bash, the largest arts celebration on campus.

This massive party will highlight the academic units within the College of Fine Arts as well as professional arts on campus. The event will provide information on ways students can access the arts for free or nearly free through the increasingly popular Arts Pass.

This year’s Arts Bash stage will feature highlights from the Department of Theatre’s season opener “Green Day’s American Idiot,” a Jazz Trio from the School of Music, an ArtsBash2014_100improve session from the Department of Modern Dance and an energetic jazz number from the Department of Ballet.

For the visual arts, check out the Department of Art & Art History’s interactive installation piece and try your hand at studio art. The Department of Film & Media Arts will be filming in the Library Plaza and you may be asked to speak on camera.

Students can get a free Arts Bash T-shirt by visiting booths and collecting passport stamps. In addition to performances by students and professional affiliates, make sure to grab your free hot dog on the way to class or work.

The College of Fine Arts is excited to have three new campus organizations taking part in Arts Bash. The Katherine W. Dumke Fine Arts Library, University Book Arts and the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute will all have booths for students to explore and learn more about these resources on campus.

Along with the six academic units of the College of Fine Arts, three professional affiliates housed on the university’s campus will also participate: UtahPresents (formerly Kingsbury Hall), the Utah Museum of Fine Arts and Pioneer Theatre Company.
