On Thursday, April 21, 2016, at the University Campus Store and the Health Sciences Store located in HSEB, all Apple products will be available tax-free, with select items an additional 8 percent off the already low academic price. Faculty and staff could save over $350 on a new 13-inch MacBook Pro compared to what they would pay at other Apple retailers. This is an excellent opportunity for faculty and staff to save on Apple products for their educational and personal needs.

Beginning in spring 2013, the University Campus Store began selling tax-free computers, tablets and other technology to University of Utah students, faculty and staff every day. This program is part of an ongoing effort from the University Campus Store to lower the cost of education for all students as well as provide better educational and personal benefits to University of Utah employees.

In addition to the everyday tax-free price on all computers and tablets at UTech, U faculty and staff members will receive an additional 8 percent on all 13-inch MacBook Pros as well as have the chance to buy the iPad Air 2 for $100 less than its previous price. UTech is also one of the select few college campuses that received the new iPad Pro on its launch date – March 31 – and will have plenty of new iPad Pros in stock for its Apple One-Day Sale.

All full-time faculty and staff also qualify for UTech’s zero-interest computer payroll deduction. Those who participate in payroll deduction pay only $20 on April 21 and the rest is taken automatically out of their paycheck for up to 12 pay periods.  A customer’s entire UTech purchase – up to $2,000 – can be paid on payroll deduction, so eligible faculty and staff are encouraged to get everything they need with their new Apple computer or tablet during the Apple One-Day Sale.
