Over the last few months, more than 3,500 University of Utah alumni completed the U Alumni Survey, the largest-scale survey we’ve done in years. The survey offered valuable insight into how alumni feel about their degree from the U (hint: very positively!)
More than 90 percent of U alums say they have a good or excellent opinion of the U. We want to maintain and strengthen that connection by doing the following:
- Continue to communicate effectively, focusing on campus developments, achievements, and alumni and student success stories.
- Enhance career support and networking to alumni, with industry-specific events and programming, access to providing internships, and job placements.
- Expand benefits to alumni, and more widely promote benefits we do have (such as discounts at the Campus Store, the free Forever Utah Network, access to campus wide events, etc.) in different ways, such as communication from campus areas.
- Create more opportunities for alums to be engaged in non-monetary activities, such as volunteering, board service, providing internships, mentoring – ways for them to share their time, experience, and expertise.
- Continue to foster a sense of community through social events and opportunities to engage with students and faculty.
