Storytellers announced for ‘Healthcare Stories’

We are pleased to announce the selected storyteller lineup for “Healthcare Stories: Together 2026.” This year, we received a record number of submissions highlighting voices from across our health care community.

Onstage, all in one evening, you will hear from patients, providers, students and parents. These rehearsed-but-unscripted stories focus on what “together” can mean in terms of health and health care. From life-saving surgery to being present consistently with people in need, from facing family addiction to navigating the nuances of raising a Deaf child—these stories get to the heart of the magic produced when health is seen as something to be addressed together.

This year’s lineup:

  • Van Aston, physician assistant
  • Steve Cho, medical student
  • Jess Carey, pharmacist
  • Annie Frazier, education manager
  • Nancy Langman-Axtell, Master of Social Work Internship program coordinator
  • Leisha Nolen, epidemiologist
  • Lindsay Thompson, senior manager

Our MC for the evening will be Ivan Vazquez, one of our storytellers from 2023.
