University Managed Print Services is excited to announce that RedPrintAnywhere is now available on all UCCS-managed laptops and desktops. The best part? No administrator credentials are required!
(a “UCCS-managed device” refers to a laptop or desktop that is either borrowed, owned, or controlled by UIT (University Information Technology).
About RedPrint
RedPrint is the University of Utah’s secure, campus-wide printing system—powered by Papercut. It provides a consistent, cost-efficient, and environmentally responsible printing experience for both students and staff. With RedPrintAnywhere, we’re simplifying access to this service for every managed UCCS device. This means thousands of campus users will have an easy path to secure, reliable, and consistent printing across the University network.
What’s new
- Pre-installed access: RedPrintAnywhere is now located within the Campus Trust Applications folder on all managed devices.
- One-click installation: Users can install RedPrintAnywhere instantly—just open Self Service and click Install. No admin password or IT ticket needed.
- Automatic configuration: Once installed, the printer automatically connects to the RedPrint network. No setup, drivers, or manual configuration required.
- Cross-campus convenience: RedPrintAnywhere enables printing anywhere on campus, or remotely through VPN, using your UCard.

This update represents a key step in our ongoing partnership with UIT to simplify and standardize the campus printing experience. By deploying RedPrintAnywhere to over 10,000 managed UCCS devices, we’re improving:

How to install
- Connect to the campus network or VPN.
- Open Self Service:
- Windows → Start Menu → “Softwarer Center”
- Mac → Applications → “Self Service”
- Search for “RedPrintAnywhere.”
- Click Install: The software installs automatically, with no need for admin prompts or extra setup.
- Verify printer: Open Printers & Scanners; you should see “RedPrintAnywhere” listed.
