The University Counseling Center is excited to announce several group offerings to students. Are you looking for a community to support you in your journey of personal growth and success? Therapy groups

Mondays

Loneliness and Connection
3-4:30 p.m. | SSB
Explore concerns, clarify values and consider cultural factors in maximizing well-being by deepening interpersonal connections.

Men’s Self-Compassion
3-4:30 p.m. | SSB
Men jointly explore masculinity and vulnerability through mindfulness and compassion instead of self-criticism, guilt and shame.

Tuesdays

If You’re Lonely, This Is For You
3-4:30 p.m. | SSB
This is a group for anyone who feels alone in our lonely world and wants to experience a greater connection with themselves and others.

Dungeons & Dragons
3:30-5 p.m. | SSB
Address interpersonal goals such as making connections, building trust, and deepening relationships while playing the tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons.

Reclaiming our Voices
3-4:30 p.m. | SSB
A nine-week structured group for female-identified students who are survivors of interpersonal violence. The group provides psychoeducation and a space for healing.

Group explores who we are in relationships, and addresses chronic interpersonal stress caused by people-pleasing, relationship anxiety and co-dependency.

A group for individuals seeking to empower themselves and heal their relationship with their bodies.

BIPOC Graduate Student Group

An all-gender weekly therapy group for BIPOC students, to gain support, engage in discussion about relevant topics and foster community connection.

Graduate Student Self-Compassion Group
2-3:30 p.m. | Virtual
Foster self-compassion and meaningful connection with other graduate students experiencing imposterism or lack of belonging.

Surviving and Succeeding in Grad School

Participants from various disciplines provide social and emotional support for the achievement of personal and academic goals.

A group for students who mourn the death of a loved one, providing a supportive space for grieving and healing.

Taking Up Space

In a world that expects women to be small and quiet, this group offers opportunities for connection and empowerment.

Beyond Binaries
2:30-3:45 p.m. | In-person
This is a compassionate space for trans, gender non-conforming, nonbinary and gender-queer folx to safely explore identity and create a supportive community. The exact location is provided after registration.

Faith + Doubt
3:30-5 p.m. | Virtual
For individuals questioning issues related to religion and faith. This group explores the impact of spiritual doubt on community, identity and beliefs.

Chai & Chat
4-5 p.m. | Virtual
A safe space for international students to share their experiences and discuss difficulty, challenges and amusement.

Skills Group
1-2:30 p.m. | Virtual
Learn and practice coping skills for both short-term crisis and long-term growth, using practical strategies to improve well-being and relationships.
