New APA and MLA style guides available through the Marriott Library

Reposted from the J. Willard Marriott Library Blog.

Students, faculty and staff now have online access to the APA Style Manual and the MLA Handbook through the Marriott Library. These style guides, in addition to the Chicago Manual of Style, provide authoritative information and examples for writing across the disciplines. Anyone with a uNID can access them when or wherever they need them, including those based at the Utah Asia Campus.

“These resources give students and tutors access not only to authoritative guidance on citation and formatting but also to examples and instructional materials that can help students better understand documentation conventions,” comments Anne McMurtrey, director of the Writing Center. “I think that kind of direct access to the official style resources could be a really useful complement to the work we do with students in the Writing Center.”
