Last chance to participate in Healing Arts Showcase

The University Counseling Center, in partnership with the College of Fine Arts, invites students to submit artwork for the third annual Healing Art Showcase. This exhibit provides a platform for students to express their experiences addressing mental health challenges through art. By sharing their work, participants help reduce mental health stigma and foster connection through creativity.

This year’s theme, “Loneliness and Connection,” encourages student artists to explore their own experiences of social isolation and disconnection—especially in an age where digital interactions often replace in-person connections. Additionally, artists may choose to depict their interpretations of connection, either as a separate piece or as part of the same artwork.

To participate, students must submit their artwork by February 19, 2025. The top three submissions will receive cash prizes: $300 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place. Winning pieces will be displayed in the Union lobby from February 24-28, 2025.
