Are you looking for a fun and inclusive way to stay active, try something new, or connect with others through sports? The University of Utah invites everyone to participate in our upcoming Adaptive Sports Clinics! Whether you’re an experienced athlete or trying a sport for the first time, these clinics offer a welcoming environment where all skill levels are embraced.
What are adaptive sports?
Adaptive sports are designed to be inclusive and accessible to individuals of all abilities, including those with physical disabilities. They allow everyone to participate, regardless of any mobility challenges, by offering specially designed equipment or modified rules. In these clinics, you can either play while seated in a wheelchair or on foot—whichever suits your preference!

Our activities include wheelchair basketball and wheelchair pickleball. These sports not only provide an exciting physical challenge but also create an opportunity to build teamwork and sportsmanship. Participants will have access to wheelchairs provided by the university, so no need to bring your own or worry about logistics!
Who can join?
Everyone is welcome! The clinics are designed to accommodate people of all backgrounds and abilities. You can choose whether to participate in a wheelchair, depending on what feels comfortable to you. These adaptive sports are a fantastic way to experience new perspectives and have fun alongside others in the community.
Why adaptive sports?
Adaptive sports are more than just physical activities—they promote empowerment, community and inclusion. They help break down barriers, allowing individuals to enjoy the benefits of physical fitness while fostering connections with others who share similar passions. Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself, make new friends or simply enjoy a fun day out, these clinics offer the perfect opportunity to do just that.
