A cohort experience like no other
Students who join Gen Next become part of a cohort of like-minded peers. This group experience fosters a supportive network of friends and connections that can continue long after graduation. Over two semesters, a series of interactive workshops covers essential career development topics, including resume and cover letter writing, networking, LinkedIn optimization, and interviewing skills. The content is both engaging and practical, ensuring that participants gain valuable insights and tools to navigate their career paths effectively.
Real-world exposure and professional mixers
In addition to workshops, Gen Next arranges employer site visits, providing firsthand exposure to various workplace environments. Students observe and learn from professionals in action, helping them gain exposure to a variety of organizational cultures and job roles. In several informal professional mixers, students will meet with industry leaders, alumni, and potential employers in a relaxed setting. These mixers are a great way to build connections and practice networking skills in a real-world context.
Scholarship award
Members of Gen Next are awarded a $1,000 scholarship, applied as $500 per semester for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters. The scholarship award ensures that students can fully participate in the program regardless of financial background.
Application and selection process
A total of 25 students will be sponsored for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. All undergraduate students are welcome, with preference given to first-generation students and STEM majors.
