Downtime for Campus Map, UPark, My Class Map, other GIS services on Aug. 4

On Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 7 to 11:59 p.m., the University of Utah’s geographic information system (GIS) portal—gis.utah.edu/portal—will be unavailable while UIT upgrades it. Additionally, the Campus Map, UPark, My Class Map and other GIS applications will be unavailable for up to 60 minutes during the maintenance period.

UIT has notified core users and will post splash pages on affected service portals for the duration of the outage.

The upgrades are necessary for IT security and performance improvements within the GIS system.

If you have questions, your local IT support staff may be able to assist, or you may contact your respective help desk: UIT Help Desk (801-581-4000) or ITS Service Desk (801-587-6000).

This planned maintenance event is posted on the University IT Services Status page at uofu.status.io.
