U faculty and staff are invited to explore classes, programs and experiences for themselves, their families and friends on Sept. 26.
You may know Continuing Education at the University of Utah for Osher Lifelong Learning, Youth Education or Go Learn, but there’s a lot more to discover.
On Saturday, Sept. 26, Continuing Education is opening its doors to the community for its first program-wide Open House. All are invited to stop by, bring family and friends, meet instructors and see firsthand what’s available.
The Open House runs from noon–5 p.m. at 540 Arapeen Drive in Research Park, with free parking available.
Throughout the afternoon, visitors can try free demonstrations and workshops in watercolor, Japanese arts, bridge, photography, metalsmithing, bath bomb making and chess. There will also be travel talks, a session on the history and future of the Great Salt Lake, CPR demonstrations and chances to learn about upcoming classes and programs.
Outside, a ukulele band will provide live music, U Hungry Cafe will be on-site for food, and family-friendly activities will include face painting, lawn Jenga, giant Connect 4, coloring and crafts.
Representatives from Lifelong Learning, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Youth Education, Academic Programs and Go Learn will all be on hand to answer questions and help visitors find opportunities that match their interests.
Whether you’re picking up a new hobby, planning your next trip or looking for something for the kids, there’s a reason to stop by! Continuing Education offers ways to stay curious at every stage of life.
