The University of Utah’s Office of Artificial Intelligence is hosting a campus-wide training open to all students, faculty and staff for use of the OpenAI tool ChatGPT Edu. Last month, the U launched the platform to help the campus community use generative AI effectively, responsibly and safely.

Important prep for attendees

To follow along in real time, we recommend that participants set up their ChatGPT Edu account a few days in advance.

  • Request access via the IT Service Catalog.
  • Users will receive an email with login instructions
  • We recommend logging in using “umail.utah.edu”

The office will post the recording of the Jan. 23 training on its website following the session for those who can’t attend live or would like to review it later.
